January Re-Invention

by Anne Devereux / Saturday, 28 January 2017 / Published in San Francisco Past Events, Uncategorized

New year’s resolutions take on new meaning as we reflect on our country’s current state of affairs and our own personal place in the world. On Thursday, January 26, Parlay House members joined together in a gathering focused on renewal, re-inventions and the power of having a strong, positive network of women.

Guests speakers Michelle Waite, Carol Whittaker and and Jillian Huang shared their experiences in bringing together and nurturing a small band of women around the theme of re-invention. Starting in late 2012 in Singapore and simply dubbed the RE-Group, these women met on a weekly basis to provide emotional support, feedback and accountability as each of them searched for their “next.”

Each woman’s experience was unique. New start-ups, charities, advanced degrees, careers and passions were pursued and accomplished. But, more importantly, a bond, that now crosses oceans was formed like no other and continues to provide the foundation and connection as life throws new curveballs and opportunities their way.
