Mark Twain is quoted as saying, “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” On, Tuesday, July 26, Parlay House honored great writers with our annual book exchange.
Each member bought a book that was meaningful to her life story. Book titles were added to name badges which sparked engaging literary discussions over wine and nibbles from a Mark Twain-inspired menu.
At the end of the evening, guests took home books from members who inspired or interested them. To continue their connections, members wrote their names and emails on bookmarks so readers could share their thoughts after finishing their books.
