Finding the Courage to Go For it

EVENT DETAILS

So many of us are considering life changes right now. Whether we want to try something exciting that’s outside of our usual wheelhouse, or finally start something we’ve been thinking about for a long time, it can take courage to leave the familiar behind for the new.

That’s why we’re talking to author Barbara Graham. After years writing top stories for magazines like National Geographic Traveler, Time, and Vogue, as well as publishing three books of nonfiction, Barbara got up the guts to strike out and try her hand at writing fiction—her lifelong dream. What Jonah Knew, Barbara’s debut novel, was published by HarperCollins last July. Bestselling author Amy Tan calls it, “A spellbinding literary thriller packed with psychological suspense.”

Join us as we talk with Barbara about finding the courage to take the leap into the unknown, and how she gathered inspiration from all corners of her life, from researching past-life regression therapy for a Self magazine article to meeting the Dalai Lama. She is proof of the joy and insight that can come from never giving up on your dreams – even when they scare you or seem impossibly out of reach!
