Sometimes life deals us a tough hand.

17 years ago, this week’s speaker, Jessica Goldman Foung, was studying at Stanford University when she received a diagnosis that would change her life forever. She learned that she had a very aggressive form of Lupus, an autoimmune disease. And, she was told that without a kidney transplant she would die.

While waiting for a transplant, Jess decided to take control of what she could. One of the most important life-saving steps for her was giving up… salt.

Sounds small, but it was actually huge, and the foundation of her next life chapter.
