Have you ever worried that asking for what you want — whether it’s for a raise at work or for your partner to pick up dinner — would seem selfish, greedy, or inappropriate?

Women often hesitate to express our desires and make concrete requests due to fear of gender blowback or simply because we haven’t had enough practice advocating for ourselves. In this interactive workshop with Parlay member and executive coach Jamie Lee, you’ll break through the fear of gender blowback and get hands-on practice asking out loud for what you want.

You’ll learn:

• Common Pitfalls: Three of the most common conflict traps women face when advocating for themselves.
• Best Practices: Actionable tips and strategies to overcome these hurdles.
• Practice Makes Perfect: You’ll break into small groups of 2-3, where participants will practice advocating for what they want.
• Moving Past Impasse: Using the concept of strategic pessimism, you’ll learn how to anticipate objections and move through them with curiosity and creative problem-solving instead of conceding at the first sign of resistance.

This interactive workshop is designed for women looking to build both skill and confidence in advocating for themselves in their personal lives and careers. Participants will gain fresh insights and practical skills that translate directly into action, tangible tools, and self advocacy.
