Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be on TV? Felt envious of stunning women news anchors who seem to have it all together? From the outside, the career seems almost like a dream…but there’s a lot going on off-camera that’s not always so glamorous.

NBC Bay Area News anchor and Emmy award winning journalist Jessica Aguirre has been in the spotlight for more than 20 years now. Jessica, who is the daughter of Cuban immigrants, will get real with Parlay House about her personal story and the loneliness of living in the public eye. She’ll touch on mental health struggles, having work done, the influence of social media, and asking for help. Like many women, Jessica has faced plenty of misogyny in her workplace over the years and will open up about her experience with agism and career woman shaming.

Join us for this very special relaunch event, which will be moderated by East Bay instigator MaryAnn Bianco. As always, there will be a selection of light bites and sips for you to enjoy. If you have a friend who’d be intrigued by Jessica’s journey, bring them along!

You’ll receive specific address and location details after signup.

We can’t wait to Parlay with you!

Reminder: Parlay House events are open to all who identify as women. All others are welcome to join our digital series, Parlay From Away, and tune into our podcast, Bring A Friend.

As this event takes place in a private home, please do not plan to arrive before the event start time or stay beyond the event end time.

The event address will be sent in your ticket confirmation email from Eventbrite.
