We throw around so many terms these days related to brain function. Some are dangerous, separating people who think differently from our familiar norm and making them feel “other”, while other descriptors are helpful for us as we understand that everyone has a unique life experience that is additive for us all.

But descriptors only skim the surface of the human experience, and we’re all about digging in deep and walking in each other’s shoes. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Lauren Melissa Ellzey to the Parlay House stage.

As an autistic self-advocate and social justice influencer, she started her work online to cultivate a space where autistic people could lift each other, and her platform has grown into a place where neurodivergent folks learn to understand, accept, and support themselves better, finding the beauty in how different minds work and perceive the world.

Join us for a conversation of self acceptance and self compassion, reframing and exploring what neurodivergence means. Regardless of your neurotype – and regardless if you know what that means – this conversation is for you.

As always, there will be a selection of light bites and sips for you to enjoy.

We can’t wait to see you there, and we hope you bring a friend.
