PARLAY HOUSE • NEW YORK

Find your people in NEW YORK.

Imagine a room full of vibrant women talking, laughing, and just being real. You belong here!

All you have to do is show up.

THIS ISN'T NETWORKING.

It’s belonging.

Let’s face it: women in New York are busy. There’s always a new restaurant or art exhibit to see, work deadlines and obligations we have to show up for. Add in family and friends, and we’ve got full schedules. And still, something feels missing.

It can be hard to find friendships as an adult, but it’s so important. We crave being seen minus baggage, titles, or expectations. Just who we are.

That’s why Parlay House was created.

“It’s not networking, it’s belonging.”

WHAT IT'S LIKE

New York is the spot.

Parlay House gatherings in New York are by and large in private homes, taking you away from the pressure that you might feel to “measure up” in this city. You’re free to be yourself, however you want to be seen.

Each gathering features an activity, speaker, or guided conversation, bookended by light bites, drinks, and socializing with the women you never knew you needed in your life.

You don’t need to know anyone to come. In fact, most women come alone. Many leave with the beginnings of true friendship.

WHO YOU'LL MEET

Curious, thoughtful women who want more than small talk.

Women come to Parlay House in New York for all kinds of reasons: a new city, a life transition, or even the desire to make new and meaningful connections. Some have plenty of friends but want a real community to be part of. Some just want a room full of women who get how complicated modern life can be for women.

Most of our members in New York are in their 30s to 60s: curious, thoughtful, and done with small talk.

INSTIGATOR · NEW YORK

ANNE DEVEREUX-MILLS

Why I became a Parlay House instigator:
As someone who found myself without meaningful connections and support when I needed it most, it feels fabulous to be able to create a space for others to find connection and support.
What I love outside of work:
I love creating! Whether it is with clay, fabric or a pen, using my hands to build “something out of nothing” puts me in my happy place.
My favorite book or movie right now:
Mother Mary Comes to Me by Arundhati Roy.
Why women's community matters to me:
As women, much of our time at work, home and in our daily lives is being the caregiver, the stoic one, the person who says, “don’t worry, I’m fine”. In a truly welcoming women’s community, we provide space for each other to share what’s really going on, and make each other realize that we are welcome just as we are and give each other a place to feels seen and to belong. It doesn’t get better than that.
